About the project: The Drifter is a diseased vagrant in a world that is quickly dying to a plague, created by the ambition and downfall of his ancestors. The video follows The Drifter through a vision where he is threatened by a manifestation of the sickness he carries, cornered by the creations of his ancestors, and guided to a strange artifact that appears to purify this corruption. Rate: Non union. Volunteer. Credit will be given in the video, and directors will supply cleaned up recordings for use in your own portfolio. Additional information: SHOOT/PERFORMANCE DATE(S) Any day after May 16 (Preferably ASAP). SHOOT/PERFORMANCE LOCATION(S) Vancouver. Submission deadline: May 20. Please, see the attachment. Gender of applicant does not matter, as long as the voice fits) The Drifter is a wandering swordsman, who is searching for a way out from the disease that continues to rot his body. His voice/demeanour should reflect his his struggle to survive, using force of will to push on in spite of his decaying body. He is well aware of his mortality, and fears the inevitability that he will perish long before he can find a way to cure himself.
