About the project: To Bury a Prince is a queer mystery visual novel set in a Mediterranean Renaissance-inspired fantasy kingdom. The outcast prince Luna returns to his homeland undercover to make amends with his estranged family after the sudden death of the king, but discovers even more amiss than he was led to believe. Luna is forced to reclaim the position of royal heir he thought he abandoned long ago and must uncover the conspirators who want him dead before they can succeed in another assassination. His closest allies are three suspicious figures each claiming to want to help him for their own reasons, but who each harbor secrets he can only uncover by risking deeper personal relationships with them. The demo will be mostly linear with ~1 hour of playtime. The full game will feature three main routes based on who Luna grows closest to with three major endings each, and an estimated total playtime of ~25 hours. Rate: $3 per full line, and 50 cents per bark or sound effect. More vocally strenuous barks will be counted as full lines. Additional info: Deadline: MAY 31st at 12:00 AM EST. See the attachment for the sides. This demo is relatively short, but if cast you will be offered the chance to reprise your role when it's time for the release of the full game. If cast in the demo, voice lines will be self-directed. You may send lines as individual clipped MP3 files for each line, or as one long unedited MP3 file containing every line read. For the full game, there will be some live direction. All characters should be assumed to be speaking in a generic American accent unless otherwise noted. Specific demographics being especially encouraged to apply for certain roles doesn't mean you can't be cast in them. Audition for whatever you feel comfortable with playing and are interested in.
