3 roles

Queen PirateFemale30-45 y.o.All ethnicities

Queen Pirate is, as the name suggests, the Queen of all English Pirates of the Great Lakes. Her power is absolute and she is one in a long line of Pirate Queens dating all the way back to the very first Pirate Queen. She is quick witted, takes after Zorro, carries herself with plenty of panache, and is tied to Pirate traditions of monarchy. She likes to rap and mop in her spare time. Her mortal enemies are the Spanish Empire and Time.

LeandraFemale19-29 y.o.All ethnicities

Daughter to the Queen Pirate and someone who is looking for more than life on a Pirate Ship. She really wants to join up with the Funky French, a Piratical Dance Crew that is more into self-expression and dance than pillaging and plundering. However, her idea of funky French music is the classical accordion music from a ‘Allo, Allo.’ She likes to dance and wear flashy clothing. Her mortal enemies are The Blahs and The Spanish Empire.

DancerFemale20-39 y.o.All ethnicities

Physical embodiment of Leandra’s growing funkiness. The Funky Dancer is the embodiment of Leandra’s pursuit of The Funk. They should be able to move and choreograph their own dances, which will be split between scene changes. The skill of the dancer depends on how intense the dance would be – noting the theatre space we are performing in does not have a spring floor, so the dances would have to be modern and stay low to the ground without the athleticism of say a ballet or with many jumps.
