About the project: Synopsis: A dark experimental short film delving into the themes of rejecting one’s given identity and constructing a new sense of self through the fervent worship of a new deity known as “THE BODY.” This deity isn’t one that created humanity in its image, but one that humanity crafted in its own likeness. Worshippers from diverse walks of life embark on a pilgrimage to encounter the deity they’ve constructed. They exhibit evangelical fervor, desperation and obsession, willing to go to extremes to commune with their self-fashioned God. Their ultimate aspiration is to surrender themselves, to be consumed by The Body, seeking unity with it. They long to transcend a world that rejects them and aspire to forge a personal paradise.
