Acting Audition for "Gambling Hours" Film
The upcoming short student film "Gambling Hours" seeks talent. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: In a world where everyone can see how much time they have left to live, a recovering gambling addict struggles to find a course of action when they finds out their time is being cut short. Three short scenes will demonstrate their inability to let go of the need to have control over his life, and the lengths he will go to in order to keep it. A discussion with their doctor; revealing the news to their daughter and the fallout; and a risky underground poker game where instead of gambling with money the players gamble with time. Length: 3-6 mins. Rate: This is mostly an UNPAID shoot, however due to the unusual call time for Larry/Lauren and the Doctor on Tuesday the 7th, along with the expectation that their lines will be fully memorized in order to complete the shoot within only an hour, both will receive $25 for the day on top of any compensation for gas and parking. Food/snacks will also be provided on all three sets. Additional info: Shoot Details: Sunday, May 5th: UW Milwaukee Kenilworth Square East; 9 am to 2 pm Larry/Lauren, Dealer, and Poker Players scene. Public Park Bench (exact location TBD); 3 pm to 5 pm Larry/Lauren and Emma scene. Tuesday, May 7th: UW Milwaukee Student Health and Wellness Center; 7:30 am to 9 am Larry/Lauren and Doctor Scene. To be considered, please apply.
