The company is holding auditions for "Within A Shadow" production and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: Synopsis: A funny, introspective play about a young college senior (Lex) trying to land her dream architecture job and (finally!) her first boyfriend before she graduates from her prestigious, predominantly white university. But being a Black student on campus, Lex's pursuit of love and fulfillment is challenged as rising racial tensions force her to deal with a crisis of self-worth and cultural identity. Rate: Principals- $550, Understudies- $125. Understudies will be paid an additional $25/show that they go on, excluding the 2 guaranteed performances. Additional info: After requesting an audition, you will be asked to submit a self-tape consisting of reading sides from the script. Callbacks: May 10th @ 6:30 to 10:30pm May 11th @ 2:30 to 9:30pm Rehearsals: Thursday, August 1st and Friday August 2nd @ 6:30 to 10:30pm August 5th to August 23rd Mondays to Thursdays @ 6:30 to 10:30pm Saturdays @ 11:00am to 3:00pm Performances: Tech Week: August 26th to September 3rd, include 10/12s on Aug 31st and Sept. 1 Preview: Wednesday, September 4th, 2024 Opening: Thursday, September 5th, 2024 Closing: Sunday, October 13th, 2024 Performance Schedule: Thursdays - Saturdays at 8:00pm, Sundays at 3:00pm Strike: October 13th, immediately following the 3:00pm Matinee Understudies will be guaranteed 2 performances.
