Jackie is the sister to the main character Justin Jackson. Jackie is a single mother and has a 9 year old daughter named Rhille. Jackie is a doctor and she lives in Washington DC. Jackie graduated from Howard University. Jackie never travels out of Washington DC but she gets an invitation to speak in Atlanta at a local University. Jackie and her daughter travel to Atlanta just for a week, but life takes an unexpected turn and Jackie finds herself falling in love in Atlanta, GA.

Micheal is a businessman. He is smart and educated in books and school but also the streets. By his physical appearance you wouldn't be able to tell he knows about the streets. He is a low-key part of the streets and drug dealing but no one knows, not even Jackie when she becomes his girlfriend.
