Theatre Casting Call for "Peter Pan" Show
Actors wanted for production of "Peter Pan". ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the breakdown below. Additional info: The audition process: there will be several monologues for you to choose from. These monologues do not have to be memorized. When learning your scene, remember to think about where you think your character is at the time of this monologue who he may be talking to and what they are feeling. You may feel free to choose any of the scenes for your audition. No matter what you perform at audition you will still be considered for all parts unless you specify not to be. If you are particularly keen on playing a specific part, then it would be a good idea to prepare the appropriate one for audition. Please ensure that you wear comfortable clothing to the audition so that you can move freely. Please also bring a bottle of water with you. Please be aware that being involved in this production is a definite commitment. Each cast member must be present for ALL rehearsals when they are required. The only exception to this is if directors have been notified of an absence at the time of audition. Production dates will be July 12-14 with the possibility of more dates being added near those dates. If you are interested, please apply.

The mother. Often soothes Mr. Darling’s rough edges. Graceful, elegant and sweet, kind to the children and patient with Mr Darling. Beautiful, graceful, warm, motherly. Exactly as we would presume Wendy’s mother to be.
The Darling Family dog. More than just a dog, though, Nana is the children’s nursemaid, tending to them and watching out for danger. This actor plays in a dog costume on all fours. Strong and athletic.
The Darling Family’s maid. She is very professional, managing to keep the house clean as well as look after the three Darling children.
Approximately 40. Cares for Mrs. and children, but he has quite a temper.
Magical.
Playing age: approximately 50. Traditionally played by the actor who plays Mr. Darling but does not have to be - a strange sort of pirate, prone to flowery language and is obsessed with the crocodile who made off with his hand. Thin, gaunt, dark features. Good comedic skills as well as able to portray a dangerous disposition. Stage fighting skills recommended.
Captain Hook’s long-suffering sidekick. Good-humored, loyal to the captain, and is 2nd in command of the pirate crew. An oddly genial oldish pirate, slightly cartoonesque. A caricature, good comedic skills.
