Performers Required for “On a Sunday in August" Play
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Casting performers for “On A Sunday In August, ” a production premiering at the 2024 Toronto Fringe Festival. Please, see the details below. About the play: SYNOPSIS: raised on a third-generation farm; siblings Abbie, Daniel, and Paul inherited the Wright property after their parents' recent passing. After an offer has been proposed to sell the property, the siblings must decide whether to sell or keep their legacy going. Rate: This production will follow a profit share model with a guaranteed minimum of $200 for each participant. Compensation will be provided after the festival with any additional amounts being split evenly among cast and creatives. Additional information: Rehearsals will run from mid-May to the end of June. Approximately 16 hours/week, depending on availability. Tech rehearsal will be Friday, June 28th from 10:45 AM – 2:00 PM. The show runs from July 5th-July 14th. SUBMISSIONS DUE: May 1st, 2024. When applying, please submit your name, resume, headshot, and the role you are interested in auditioning for. Those selected are asked to prepare a 2-3 minute contemporary monologue. Please write your preferred audition date and time (Sunday, May 5th, 2024 (4 PM – 7 PM); Monday, May 6th, 2024 (5 PM – 8 PM)).
