Singing Opportunities in "The Pirates of Penzance" Play

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ADMITTED. Theater is currently looking for singers to portray roles in production of "The Pirates of Penzance". Please, see the details below. About the play: For this exhilarating adaptation of the classic Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, Pirates of Penzance, get ready to experience a swashbuckling adventure like never before! This production takes a bold and modern approach by updating the music with pop/rock/rap styling, bringing a fresh and contemporary vibe to the beloved show. With some gender-swapped casting, the characters come to life in exciting new ways, challenging traditional roles and adding an extra layer of intrigue. Additional information: Callbacks: May 26 1:30-4:30 pm. Auditions will require one song, some cold readings are possible and some movement at callbacks. Songs should suit the vocalist’s strengths and do not need to be from the G&S songbook. Rehearsals are scheduled for Mon-Thurs evenings from 6:30-9:30 beginning June 24th.
