Seeking cast for "So Your Mom and Dad Broke Up - A (Not-at-all Misguided) Comfort Extravaganza!" play. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the breakdown below. About the project: Have things felt...tense lately? Does it feel like all people do is fight? Do you wonder what you could have done to prevent things from getting this bad, but ultimately realize that the circumstances are completely beyond your control? Have we got the VHS come to life for you! So Your Mom and Dad Broke Up will be a staged musical based on the 1987 self-help tape for children of divorce. Trust the expertise and sensitivity of television’s favorite psychologists, Allen Thycke and Orko. Learn about how to get through trying times with such hit songs as “We Got Feelings Too!” and “What If I Had Cleaned My Room?” Take the guidance from real-life children who have been through it, you’ll get through it too. Directors will create a safe space to cry--from laughing so hard. From the decade that knew how to put children at ease, it’s So Your Mom and Dad Broke Up! Rate: A $250 stipend. Additional info: Run time: aprox. 45 minutes. Rehearsals will be nights and weekends during May. Tech rehearsal: Wednesday June 5 @ 12-1PM Performances: Thursday June 6 @ 8:00PM Friday June 7 @ 6:30PM Saturday June 8 @ 4:00PM When applying, please include a resume or bio and headshot.
