Bryan Kim is a Korean American martial artist who’s supporting his young sister, Lucinda, after losing their parents. Seeking a stable source of income and camaraderie, he falls into a gang that pressures him into a life ofviolence and revenge. After a contentious parting with the gang, he fatefully enrolls in a GED class at a local college, ignorant of the trap that awaits him. A martial arts experience a plus.

Eva is an attractive middle-aged human resources director for the community college who builds a friendly rapport with James. Fearless and resourceful, she works with James to defend against the attack by the gang. A martial arts experience a plus.

Solomon is a middle-aged demagogue of a gang of young thugs well versed in various martial arts weapons. Merciless in dispensing his brand of honor and justice, he has no qualms about executing any who cross him, including Bryan. Spikes, an overly confident yet insecure young man, is Solomon’s self-proclaimed second in command in the gang. He believes that Solomon is grooming him to take over leadership and lords it over the other gang member. A martial arts experience a plus.

Jojo is a tough young woman who joins a gang after her mother goes to prison.With her ferocity and bad temper, she fits right in with the crew of thugs who rely on threats and violence to keep everyone in line. Jojo’s favorite weapons are her metal staff and cutting remarks. A martial arts experience a plus.

Knuckles is a young gang member whose weapons are a pair of spiked knuckles. An MMA enthusiast, he partners with his best friend in the gang, Stars, but clashes with Spikes during their attack on the school.

Stars is a young gang member whose weapons are throwing stars.After growing up in a broken family, Stars fell in with the gang and partners with his best friend Knuckles. Stars’ even temper balances out Knuckles’ reckless tendencies. A martial arts experience a plus .

Edgar is a young student enrolled in James’ GED course at the Community College. Bonding with Bryan, Edgar defends him against the other students who want to give him up to the gang members.

Montrese is a young student enrolled in James’ GED course at the Community College. Pregnant, she struggles with the bills with her Mother being on disability and wants a better life for her baby. She wants to give up Bryan to the gang in order to save herself and her fellow classmates.

Joyce is a middle-aged administrator working at a community college. She’s a loyal and empathetic assistant to Principal Stanton and a close friend to Eva. Joyce is pushed to the edge by the gang invasion.

Chuck is a middle-aged utility engineer who’s a more of a glorified handyman who does more ogling of the female students than work. He becomes unexpectedly useful to the gangsters in their plan to seize Bryan.
