"Rent" Musical Seeking Cast
"Rent" show casting actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the breakdown below. Additional info: Casting 16-20 actors; must be comfortable with strongly suggestive content and sensitive topics/language. PREPARATION Please prepare 32-bars from the contemporary musical theatre or pop/rock genres. Bring sheet music in the correct key or an instrumental only track. You may accompany yourself if desired. Philosopher, teacher, anarchist, AIDS activist. A computer genius and liberal professor, he is a nurturer with a smooth and relaxed disposition. Gospel baritone.
A young street drummer and a drag queen with an incredible gift of dance and magnetic personality. Warm, loveable, and nurturing, Angel lives life to the fullest. High pop tenor with falsetto.
Former roommates with Mark, Roger, and Collins, he married into a rich family and is now the landlord of the building. Roger and Mark consider him a yuppie sell-out. Pop tenor.
