About the project: "THE LANDLORD" STORYLINE: When a group of tenants are locked out of their apartments by their otherworldly landlord, they must band together to confront the horrors that lurk in the hallways and common spaces of their building or risk losing their homes, minds, and lives forever. " LEVELED" STORYLINE: A Muslim hijabi girl enlists the help of her ill mother when she enters a dance competition. But, to pursue her dream to dance, she must first have the courage to believe in herself and let go of the expectations placed on her as a dutiful Pakistani daughter. "HEGEMON" STORYLINE: When a zombie-like virus spreads exclusively amongst men, a Muslim woman and her sister must negotiate their escape from the infested city. "SHE COMES FOR YOU" STORYLINE: After a family tragedy an estranged Vietnamese mother and daughter reunite to face a vengeful spirit, forging a path of forgiveness and redemption bounded the memories of wartime trauma. He’s committed to breaking the generational cycle by creating a better upbringing for his girls. Bilal’s desire to stay neutral between his Mother, Zuli, wife and daughter’s, backfires at times creating more tension and angst. But, his love for Sanam inspires him to be a better man be a better man with every passing day.

Playing the role of provider and protector gives him his only sense of purpose.

She struggles to trust anyone else, fearful of their capacity for violence.
