About the project: The Lost Cause is a unique horror-period piece that melds the current age with the unhealed wounds of the Civil War and Reconstruction. A family tragedy stretching generations, it’s easy to see that a house divided cannot stand, especially if it’s drowned in blood. Rate: Food, accommodation, and travel expenses (if driving) will be covered. Additional info: Filming location: Virginia Beach, VA. Dates: Mid-May. Lead. Caleb Gray has recently lost his mother. He is looking to heal in order to find peace, something that has always seemed to elude him. He thinks he has finally found closure while he is closing his mother's estate, when a lawyer informs him that his mother's dying wish was to have her ashes spread at an old generational family home: The Nurney Homestead.
