Casting Call for "Matthew 18" Film
In search of two actors for the "Matthew 18" production. Details are provided below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: A crisis of faith movie where Jane must decide between walking away from her life or accepting it. Jane (17-25 range) is tough, smart, and a little gloomy. She delivers strong lines and monologues. She is accompanied by a bodacious version of Jesus christ (Any age) who acts as an imaginary frenemy towards Jane. Jesus is silly and dismissive. The more the actor looks like a surfer dude, the better. Rate: Meals will be provided. Additional info: Nonunion student film shooting in the Towson Maryland Area. Filming dates are April 5th, April 6th and April 7th are the main three shooting days with a possible 4th day on the 8th if needed. Shooting days will run from 8-12 hours each of the days. When applying, please send a headshot, cover letter, and a reel if you have one by April 1st.

Is tough, smart, and a little gloomy. We meet her within a liminal space between abuse and faith. She deep down knows what she needs to do but is too caring and afraid to make the final step. She delivers strong lines and monologues. Good chance to show a range of different acting.
A bodacious version of Jesus Christ who acts as an imaginary frenemy towards Jane- the more the actor looks like a surfer dude, the better. Jesus is silly and dismissive. He uses guilt and his faith as a way of subtly shaming people into doing what he wants. Despite caring for Jane his advice and words go more to harm her than help. A good chance for subtle acting.
