Casting Actors and Extras for "Francis Alienated" Film

About the project: Main character Francis grapples with his unrequited love for his friend Grace. Obsessively circling a date on his calendar to confess his feelings, Francis struggles, rehearsing his lines and envisioning idealized scenarios in his head where he declares his love to Grace. As he rushes across town to find her, he paints himself as the hero of the story. Meanwhile, reality has other plans. Rate: Non union. Actors will be fed. Additional information: SHOOT/PERFORMANCE DATE(S) May 7, 8, 9. SHOOT/PERFORMANCE LOCATION(S) East Vancouver, Downtown Vancouver. The role of Francis includes running, physical comedy and light stunt work. This project is going to be a fun, creative experience for everyone, the process is going to be highly collaborative and the goal is to submit the film to festivals and overall to make something great. Francis is the quintessential lonely man. He has spent far too much time with himself and has become disillusioned. He genuinely feels he deserves a better life than he has, yet he does nothing about it-until today. He is more a man of thought than of action. This accounts for the vivid, dream-like fantasies he experiences, fantasies which he is far too impressionable to handle. Required Skills: Running and physical comedy.
Grace is the picture of health, kindness, wit, and inner strength. A strong counter to Francis's schlubby exterior, Grace is well-put-together, and has her priorities in order. She is the person you know who has it "all together." She is smart. Anyone in their right mind has the potential to envy her resolve, and someone like Francis being in love with her makes only too-much sense. She dances because she loves it, and so she makes time for it. Required Skills: Dance (Ballet preferred).
