About the project: SUMMARY: Tranquilidad del Alma y Corazón follows the story of 19 year old Paz Gonzalez who's a First Generation Immigrant in the United States. Paz received the news that her Grandpa back in her home country got very sick, as the days go on the health of her Tata has worsened to the point that family members have gathered to say their goodbyes. Paz, being 5,238 miles away struggles with the acceptance of not being able to see her Tata for one last time and figures out a way in honoring him even within the distance. Mother to Paz. Daughter to Jose and Carmen. She is a single mother and immigrant that works hard to make her daughter’s dreams come true. Not being able to leave the country to say goodbye to her father and witnessing Paz’s grieving pain makes her questions the decision of leaving her home country.
Grandpa to Paz. Father to Cristina. Even within the distance he continues to have a close relationship with his granddaughter. Writing the memories he had with Paz was the only way for him to remember the time he spent with her.
Grandma to Paz. Mother to Cristina. Wife to Jose Ernesto. When her daughter left the country for the second time, to chase the American Dream she was devastated. Not having her daughter by her side after the passing of her husband was something she never thought she had to live through.
