Additional info: Audition Process: -ONE song from the musical or ONE song within the style of the show (either option is fine) within 16 - 32 bars. Acapella or you can provide your own karaoke track! -Cold Read from the script (which will be provided on the day of the audition) -You have the option to either read by yourself OR you can bring in another actor to read off. Our story's young and confused protagonist. He is longing to find his purpose in life. Naive, innocent, and discontent. Eventually finds love, and meaning in life, with Catherine and Theo. (Tenor)
This role CAN be played by multiple people. There is also no gender assigned to this role, so the range for this character is quite wide. (Tenor/Alto range)
Pippin's demanding father. As the King of the Holy Roman Empire, Charlemagne is more comfortable wielding a sword than breaking bread. He wears his years with great pride. (Baritone)
Pippin's conniving stepmother, she is both beautiful and smart. Devious, crafty, cunning, untrustworthy. Dedicated to gaining the throne for her darling son, Lewis
Charlemagne and Fastrada’s son. Strong and not bright. Pippin’s halfbrother and after Pippin, heir to the throne. Addicted to the physical, Lewis loves weight lifting, Lewis loves wrestling, but most of all, Lewis loves Lewis.
A widow and mother. She is a beautiful and a hopeless romantic, who possesses graceful elegance. Encounters Pippin at his lowest point and eventually falls in love with him. (Mezzo-Soprano, Female)
Catherine’s son from her previous marriage, witty and comedic. (Tenor)
Pippin's saucy grandmother. A brassy woman full of wisdom, grace, and sass. She tries to help Pippin and encourages him to live his life to the fullest. (Alto)
