Open Roles for Upcoming Short Film
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors are currently in need of cast for the upcoming short film. More details are below. Rate: Paid small honorarium. Catering will be provided. Additional information: Non-Union. SHOOT DATES: May 18-20, 2024. LOCATION: Edmonton, AB. AUDITION TYPE: Self-Tape. CALL BACK DATES: Mid-April (TBD). DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: April 1st, 2024. When applying, please submit a copy of your acting CV and headshot (if you have them) and indicate which role you're interested in auditioning for. Please do not submit if you are not available for all three shooting dates. Directors will then send a synopsis of the short, along with sides to read and record via self-tape.

A nervous, 16 year old drama-kid. She invites her boyfriend, Matt, over for dinner to meet her parents. Adeline desires connection from her father after her blooming femininity causes them to drift apart, and neglect leads her to a breaking point.
Adeline's boyfriend. Athletic build with masculine energy. He's a hockey player with big dreams of making it in the NHL. Excited to attend the dinner and make a good impression.
Adeline's mother. She wants to believe she is a good mother, but trauma and addiction make things difficult for her. Laura will spend most of the short under the influence of alcohol.
Adeline's father. The rugged, tradesmen type. He eagerly takes the opportunity to bond with Matt, but ultimately puts further stress on his already dwindling relationship with his daughter.
