About the project: Short Film is about four friends who graduate high school and want to make one last film together before they all go to college. Through the film's progression, the tension increases as their time together comes closer to an end. Rate: No Pay. Additional info: The audition will not be a reading from the script, instead will be based on a scene written in the movie with no dialogue. The Scene: She leans back in her chair looking at the popcorn ceiling. She stares at it for a few seconds before picking up a pen. She lifts the pen in the air, almost tracking the ceiling. After waving her pen in the air for a few seconds she grabs her sketchbook and begins sketching. She does an entire drawing over the whole page and once she finishes she looks at it for a few seconds. It's a beautiful drawing. Then...Deyanira rips it out of her sketchbook and throws it in the trash. When applying, please send a headshot & resume.

(Deya for short). Deya is a very complex character who is trying to figure out who she is as a person. She is an artist but doesn’t believe in herself or anything she does. Throughout the story, Deya looks up to Marcos as she wants to learn how to gain confidence like his. Only for it to have the opposite effect. Deya must learn who she wants to be before the summer ends.
