About the project: A film editor finds himself at a crossroads when he has to choose between his career and the love of his life. Rate: Compensation to be provided. Additional info: Project length: 9 Minutes. Date: August or September. Production Location: Chicago. A man with a heart of gold but a mind obsessed with work. Since he was a kid, he has been staunchly dedicated to a career in film and ended up working as a freelance video editor. He is also the longtime partner/husband of Ben who he cannot imagine his life without. Now in the depths of a great personal dilemma, a choice must be made.
Carlos' partner/husband in life and in ambition. Before his illness took over, Ben's star as a film writer was quickly rising. However, this illness has made him in and out of care for the past five years and has thrust him into a life of surviving and not thriving. Ben and Carlos' love for each other is what has gotten him through the trials and tribulations, and now Carlos is what will get Ben through the fear of a surgery that could potentially save his life or end it.
The mother of Carlos and someone who believes family must come before everything. While frustrated with Carlos, she tries her best to take an understanding and loving approach to her son. This role will be a voiceover role only.
The producer of the film that Carlos is editing. Someone who is definitely in the midst of the fast moving Hollywood machine. A no-bullshit man whose mouth can often act quicker than his brain. His one goal is to deliver on his presence no matter the cost. This role will be a voiceover role only.
