About the project: Seeking a professional repertory company of singer/actor/dancer/mover artists of all types to perform in all of 3-summer repertory shows: "Kinky Boots", "The Music Man" and "Come from Away". All cast actors participate in all 3 shows with an onstage part or as an understudy. This is a 14-week contract. Also seeking singer/actors of all types for 6 week fall show contract; "I Left My Heart"-a tribute to Tony Bennett. This is a separate contract from the summer repertory shows. Rate: SPT $576 weekly minimum (SPT 6); $414 weekly minimum (SPT 3) Additional info: Audition lunch 1:00-2:00 pm Summer repertory: Rehearsals begin May 20, 2024 Contract ends August 26, 2024 Fall show: Rehearsals begin August 19, 2024 Contract ends September 29, 2024 EPA Procedures are in effect for this audition. Theatre will be hiring one repertory ensemble to appear in all of summer season shows. All roles—leading, supporting, and ensemble—will be cast from the one repertory ensemble. "Kinky Boots": please note that the entire cast should be comfortable with a pop/rock style of singing and British accent. "COME FROM AWAY": all performers play multiple characters. Sings C3–B4. A leading man, just out of university. He is privileged, but likeable — his father owns the shoe factory. He is handsome and loveable but there is a temper right under the skin. A bit confused, a bit unfocused, a hero hiding under a victim’s mantle. Has a great singing voice, ability to move. "Kinky Boots"
Sings C3–B4 (with one top C). An emotionally and physically challenging role that requires the body of a boxer with the soul of a Diva, a la Whitney Houston. Has star presence and feels comfortable wearing everything from full glamour as a scene-stealing drag performer to nothing but boxing trunks. Has a killer voice with power blues and gospel chops. This role is written as a non Caucasian (generally African heritage) male. "Kinky Boots"
Sings B♭3–F♯5. Beautiful, but quirky (not glamourous like Nicola) working class girl who works in the shoe factory. Funny and smart but has had bad luck with men. "Kinky Boots"
Sings B♭3–F♯5. Charlie’s girlfriend since school. Sophisticated looks. She is a social climber, driven and uncompromising. She knows what she wants and goes for it. "Kinky Boots"
Sings C3–F4. Lola’s nemesis. Burly hyper-masculine bear of a factory worker. Has a menacing physicality. Least likely to be seen on a runway in kinky boots. "Kinky Boots"
Sings C3–F4. Factory Manager, keeping up traditions. Reserved and tightly wound. "Kinky Boots"
These are the 4-6 drag performers who perform with Lola. Versatile and terrific singers and dancers (required to dance in heels). Physical fitness is crucial. Tumbling and acro skills a plus. Three Angels sing to C♯5 and three sing to A4. May cover Lola. "Kinky Boots"

The men and women of the ensemble must be excellent singers. They will cover Principal and Featured ensemble roles as well as play factory workers, pub patrons etc. Factory workers should look like real, everyday people and be able to move well. All must be very strong singers. Some must be terrific dancers, have great pop voices and be comfortable in drag in order to cover Angels. May cover Lola. "Kinky Boots"

All 3 should be comfortable singing in a jazz style, and should be good harmony singers. All performers portray aspects of Tony Bennet throughout the show—no single Tony Bennett lookalike/sound-alikes are needed or desired.
