Thriller Series "Bet" Looking for Talent

About the project: Storyline: Teenager KEIKO, arrives at an exclusive Boarding School for children of the global elite, to disrupt their lives and get revenge for the murder of her parents. Tone: Inspired by Manga books and Films like ‘Scott Pilgrim vs The World’, BET is a relatable story for the modern teenager. At its core, BET is about power dynamics, wealth and social status. These are themes relatable to every high schooler. The series, inspired by Anime, will be shot in a dynamic, fun and campy way, while delivering on it’s honest dramatic undertones. The series will be fast paced. Using editing, split screen and pop-up windows to accelerate the narrative and give audiences a live ‘second screen’ experience within the show itself. A slightly heightened look and feel to the show will give it an epic, operatic tone. A rich palate inspired by the Anime and Manga colour scheme of Red and Black will dominate the look of uniforms, school decorations, banners and flags etc. Gothic locations with vaulted ceilings and arches, will counterpoint the modern vibe of the series and give texture to the history and mythology of the school, pointing towards a deeper importance to this institution, similar to Hogwarts in ‘Harry Potter’.
