"The SpongeBob" musical needs singer/actors. Please see the breakdown below. About the project: The SpongeBob Musical is a feel-good, family-friendly show (with enough humor and bits to keep everyone engaged)! There's a lot of fun music in this show - with songs written by everyone from John Legend to Sara Bareilles, to Cyndi Lauper to Aerosmith (and a lot more!). The costumes are crazy, the characters are over-the-top and lovable and the whole thing is just a good time Additional info: No preparation needed. Bring your conflict calendars and wear comfortable shoes and clothing you can move in. Roles marked as * have speaking parts. Callbacks will be held February 5th at 6:30 PM. Performances May 3rd at 7:30pm, May 4th at 7:30pm and May 5th at 3pm. If you are interested, please apply.

(lead, tenor range: C3-B4) optimistic, energetic, innocent. Sometimes hyperactive. Actor should be a good physical actor and able to move well. Additional requirements: unafraid of heights/climbing; ukulele playing a plus!
(lead, tenor range; B flat2-B flat 4) Well-intentioned but kind of clueless.
(Lead, tenor range; A2-F#4; G#belt) Grumpy, cynical, negative, but loveable. Must be able to tap-dance.
(Lead, alto range; A3-E5) Smart and athletic. A good Texas twang is a plus.
(lead, tenor range; B2-G#4) Small in stature but large in ego. Slick and nefarious and always plotting. Hip hop dance and rap skills necessary.
(lead, baritone range; B2-Bflat 4) Owner of the Krusty Krab; proud but oblivious dad; obsessed with money.
(supporting; mezzo range; Bflat 3- F#5) Mr. Krabs' typical teenaged daughter. Obsessed with her favorite band. Actor MUST be able to belt high - a good gospel wail also required.
(supporting; mezzo range; G#3-F#5). Plankton's computer wife; helps with his schemes, but has become jaded over time. Should be a strong comic actor. Ability to beatbox a plus.
(mezzo-soprano range: F#4-B5) Prone to over exaggerate her competence as mayor. Unafraid of heights is a plus.
(baritone range: D3-F4; F5 falsetto) SpongeBob’s biggest fan - Patchy only appears in 3 scenes and does a great job of interrupting the show each time. Ability to play accordion a plus, but not a dealbreaker if you can't!
(bass-baritone range: E2-E4) The town's journalist. A little dramatic on occasion.
(no sung solos) The stereotypical old man "Get off my lawn".
(3 actors - bass; baritone, tenor) The rock band of Pearl's dreams. Plus; Skateboarding ability (or rollerblading).
This is an unusual role - no speaking parts, but generates all the live sound effects for the show onstage. Must be quick, flexible, and a knowledge of percussion instruments/sound effect generating is a huge plus.
(this could potentially be a voice-over role - a good Jacques Cousteau impression a must);
