Casting Call for Coca-Cola Refreshing Films Program

About the project: Title: Share the Magic Description: A young adult named Cora brings her younger sister Ivy, who is Deaf to the movies to meet her friends. Ivy feels nervous to be around a whole group of people who might not know how to communicate with her. Cora encourages her to try, and the friends bring her in and they all end up connecting, laughing, and enjoying a movie together. Rate: This is a NON-UNION PRODUCTION. The rate for the 2 main actors will be $300 for 1 day of filming. Supporting friend actors will be $150 for 1 day of filming. Additional info: CALLBACKS: January 12th (in person) Shoot Date: Late January- Early February Location: Near Provo, UT. No previous acting experience required. See the attachments for the audition instructions. When applying, please send a headshot, personal information and a video submission that includes you signing (in ASL), the dialogue as outlined in the script. For CORA, examples of you responding happily to a friend running up to hug you will be needed. For INN, multiple performances should be given- a shy performance, and another that is more hopeful. Please also include multiple takes of actors drinking a carbonated beverage from a cup and eating popcorn. Actors will be required to drink Coca-Cola and eat popcorn for the role so note any allergies. Please be sure to include all contact information and note any conflicts.

(Main Protagonist) Ivy is a freshman in high school who is very bubbly and animated when she is around close friends and family but becomes reserved and distant around strangers. She typically is found wearing oversized comfy sweatshirts and large wiry glasses.
(Sister of Protagonist) Cora is a confident, stylish college student. She has been Deaf since birth and has a large mix of hearing and Deaf friends. She is in-tune with the emotions of those around her and likes to encourage her loved ones to face their fears. She is very extraverted and likes to make everyone around her feel more energized.
Cora's best friend rocks a leather jacket, a friendly smile, and sparkling eyes. She's hearing but knows ASL due to her mom being Deaf. She makes others feel welcome by her bubbly and friendly energy.
This character is also hearing. They have been in this friend group since Highschool- they do everything together. They make others feel welcome by staying calm and steady, and accepting others entirely as they are.
This character is Deaf. She/he is thoughtful and plans carefully. They make others feel included by thinking ahead of time and setting things up to feel comfortable and cozy.
