Audition opportunity for "Little Shop of Horrors" show. Please review the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Callbacks, if needed, will be on Sat. Jan 6th from 4-6 pm. Please prepare 32 bars of a song of your choice. You may use anything you are comfortable with whether from the show or a similar example of range. Some examples - Any Ashman/Menken song: IE for Audrey - Part of Your World, Audrey II - Friend Like Me. Chiffon/Ronnette/Crystal - songs from NY 60's Girl Bands or Disney's Hercules Muses. Please bring a Bluetooth device with a karaoke track to sing along with. Please prepare a 60-to 90-second memorized monologue. You may use anything you are comfortable with, including something from the show. Please choose something that reflects the spirit of the character for which you are auditioning. An insecure, put-upon florist's clerk and eventual hero. He is a genuine, well-meaning man who is taken for granted because of his clumsy ways and poor social skills. Vocal range: A2 to G4
Blond, Billie-Dawn-like, secret love of Seymour's life. She has poor self-worth and education, but incredibly good looks and a sweet and vulnerable demeanor.Vocal range: G#3 to D5
The seasoned owner of the failing East Side flower shop and Seymour's nosy boss. He is profit-driven, greedy, and manipulative. Vocal range: G2 to F4
An egotistical dentist with a passion for leather and sadistic tendencies. Audrey's abusive boyfriend, who is targeted by Seymour. Vocal range: G2 to G4
Puppet. An anthropomorphic cross between a Venus flytrap and an avocado, the plant has an appetite for human flesh that is appeased by Seymour. Puppeteer doubles as other sizes of the plant.
An actor/vocalist located offstage. The voice is that of a conniving, street-smart 'villain.' A funky Rhythm and Blues voice is best. Vocal range: G2 to G4
