Francis, a wannabe inventor, attempts to create an invention for New York’s first-ever Inventor’s Competition, while reconciling his relationship with his father by convincing him of Samuel’s potential as an inventor through the help of his girlfriend Margaret and arch-nemesis, Alexander. His hands are constantly tinkering with nuts, bolts, hammers, and nails and that leads to his absent-mindedness. He is constantly late as his nights are spent perfecting inventions like a typewriter with piano keys or a cane with a lighter. Samuel believes he can change the world with his creations. LEAD
