About the project: In search of a new stage, four eccentric Broadway stars rally behind a small-town prom facing controversy. As they aim to bring attention to the issue and shine a light on themselves, they encounter a brave girl fighting for her right to bring her girlfriend. With the power of love and a message that resonates, the award-winning musical “The Prom” blends classic musical comedy with timely themes, uniting characters and audiences alike. Rate: CONTRACT LOA $777 weekly minimum (Ref. to LORT) Additional info: Rehearsals begin: March 12th, 2024. Performances begin: April 3rd, 2024 Close: May 12th, 2024 Performance schedule: six to seven shows per week: Tuesdays through Sundays at 7:30pm and some Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30pm. Please prepare a 16-32 bar cut of a song from this show or of a similar nature that shows off your vocal range and the sides from the character of your choice (please see the attachment)

Alyssa’s intimidating, conservative, single mother. The head of the PTA. Knows deep down that her daughter is struggling with her identity. She is too afraid to face the reality because she fears her daughter will face a hard life. Vocal range: A3 - C5
Pretentious Juilliard graduate recently cast in the non-Equity tour of Godspell. Handsome, charming, funny and loves to hear himself speak. Vocal range: C3- Ab4
A long running ensemble member in the Broadway production of Chicago (20 years!). Jaded Fosse girl with a heart of gold. Vocal range: Ab3 - E5
A small town principal. Strait-laced. An ally to Emma and a long-time fan of Dee Dee Allen. Vocal Range G2 – C4
A charismatic press agent who works for both Dee Dee and Barry. Dry wit a must.
Popular cheerleader at school. Kaylee’s second in command, and Kevin’s girlfriend. Bullies, but eventually learns to accept Emma. Vocal range: Wide range

Ensemble members will play high school students, reporters, New York party attendees, PTA members, and cast members of the non-Equity tour of Godspell. Strong singer/dancers.
