Acting Audition for Short Film "Echoes of War"

About the project: The story is based off an infiltration of a German village by a small unit of UK soldiers (unit) to rescue comrade who was gathering communication intelligence on the war. But had been captured (James). James had escaped capture into the small town and had sent word to his people. However, before help arrived, he got really wounded and was hiding out in an abandoned home. Both sides of the Army were searching for him however he was discovered by young soldier about 19 who had a desk job and didn't know who he was. Rate: Non-Union. IMDb Credit, food, demo reel footage. Mikel is a 19-year-old german soldier caught in the chaos of war. He grew up in a loving home with parents who valued education and love poem. The sudden upheaval of war disrupted his peaceful life, forcing him into the military and into a fight he's not. He speaks English and has a German accent. Mikel's primary motivation is survival in the midst of a brutal war.
James is an older, wounded English soldier who is fully involved in the workings of the war. He hails from England and left behind a pregnant wife when he was sent on the mission to Germany. He's more jaded but not so into the war himself and sees himself in the young German soldier, Mikel who saves him from bleeding to death. We see his humanity when he covers for Mikel before his comrades referring to him as a civilian.
These soldiers are members of James' unit sent to rescue him. They share a camaraderie built through the shared experiences of war. They've been searching for days for James and are a bit war beaten themselves but still sturdy and ready. On set for the last day of the shoot.
