About the project: Our play tells the story of Christopher, and his search for the killer of his neighbor’s dog. Along the way, Christopher uncovers the truth about a great secret, and in doing so, discovers his own strength. Rate: This is an unpaid, non-Equity production. Additional info: Performance dates are March 22 – April 7, 2024. Th/Fri/Sat: 7:30 PM; Sun at 2:00 PM. There will be a matinee performance on Saturday, March 30 at 2 PM. No performance Easter Sunday, March 31. Please prepare a 2-minute monologue. Be prepared to receive direction on your monologue. There are 4 substantial monologues in the script, if desired. The first cast meeting and readthrough will be on Thursday, January 11 at the theater. Rehearsals will begin Sunday, January 14 and will be held Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays up until tech. The director reserves the privilege to adjust schedule based on actor commitments. Not all cast members will be called for all rehearsals. Please apply if interested.

Christopher’s teacher and mentor. Flowing. She helps him navigate the world and his feelings and his relationship with others. She is warm, caring, professional, patient, and understanding. She goes between being herself, the narrator, or the voice of Christopher himself.
Christopher’s father. Grounded. Estranged from Christopher’s mother. Working class man. Loyal and dedicated to caring for Christopher, but has trouble communicating. Is prone to outbursts of anger and frustration. He is a plumbing contractor by trade.
Christopher’s mother. Airy. Estranged from Christopher’s father. Not well-equipped to cope with Christopher…and doesn’t know how to show him her love. Secretary by trade.
