About the play: "Nothing Crazy’s Gonna Happen" is an interactive site-specific performance heavily rooted in improv and devising. Actors will be performing in an environment where the fourth wall doesn’t really exist, and audience members are taken on a choose-your-own-adventure journey through a house party on one of the most catastrophic nights this group of friends has ever seen. Through varying degrees of audience participation and interaction, characters of this show will be posing the question of ‘what role did you really play in the event?’ Rate: This show will have the opportunity to be paid (profit share). Additional information: Availability for January - February 2024. Auditions will be held December 11th. What will be asked of you: Comfortable with improv/please describe your experience (everything counts); Ability to play a character beyond lines of dialogue (we will help you build a character that you can then improvise with); Comfortable in crowds and social situations; Able to riff off/hold a conversation with an audience member in character while still fulfilling the beats/objectives of your show; Comfortable with themes of alcohol, drugs, high school drama, and grief; Passionate about improv and interactive performance with an audience; Ability to collaborate with others in a respectful way in an environment; Experience acting (specifically beyond comedy) please describe.
