The company is holding auditions for Main Stage production of 2024 "Fun Home" and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: When her father dies unexpectedly, graphic novelist Alison dives deep into her past to tell the story of the volatile, brilliant, one-of-a-kind man whose temperament and secrets defined her family and her life. Moving between past and present, Alison relives her unique childhood playing at the family’s Bechdel Funeral Home, her growing understanding of her own sexuality, and the looming, unanswerable questions about her father’s hidden desires. Fun Home is a refreshingly honest, wholly original musical about seeing your parents through grown-up eyes. Additional info: PREPARE: Please prepare 16-32 bars of any musical selection. Accompanist will be provided, so bring sheet music in the correct key. This show will be performed in Davidson Feb 22 – March 10, 2024. Please complete audition form prior to your audition. (Tenor, G3-A4) – Roy is a young man Bruce hires to do yard work. Mark is a high school junior. Pete is a mourner visiting the Bechdel funeral home.
