Singers Required for Paid Show "Diamond Tooth Gerties 2024"

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors are currently searching for female-identifying vocalists for "Diamond Tooth Gerties 2024" show. Please, see the details below. Rate: Starting at $1000/week, performance week is 3-5 days, plus accommodation and travel to and from Dawson City. This is a non-union production, however directors will consider making an exception for performers under the D.O.T contract. Additional information: This is a non equity production. An accompanist will be provided for the audition. Location: Toronto. Callback Interviews: TBD (via Zoom). This production consists of three 30-45 min cabarets and runs every night from May- September. The cast features 2 singers, 2 musicians and 4 dancers. There are 3 different shows each night: - a gold rush themed show set in 1898 featuring can-can dancing and ragtime music; - a classy cabaret, featuring notable jazz/modern hits with a vintage feel; - a through the decades show, featuring the biggest hits of the past 70 years. The singers will be responsible for MCing and singing the three shows. Contract Dates: Rehearsals will start in Toronto the week of April 15th, 2024. Rehearsals will be held in Toronto and Dawson City. Those selected will be required to be in Toronto for the rehearsal period. Performers will arrive in Dawson City the week of April 29th, 2023. Performance period is May 10th- September 21st 2024.
