A sweet tempered, intelligent and pragmatic woman, Ida is a compassionate, supportive friend who connects genuinely with everyone she interacts with. Though committed to Lucille and Doris, Ida longs to break free from the Cemetery Club and begin a new life. Meeting Sam sparks this desire.
A strong woman number and a feisty embodiment of the girl who just wants to have fun. If this were the Golden Girls, Lucille might appear to be the Blanche of the group but her confident, sex positive personality is deeply misunderstood. There's more to her than meets the eye but that doesn't mean she can't enjoy good fashion....at a bargain.
A professional widow, Doris' primary mission in life is to maintain the image of her "perfect" marriage and devotion to her deceased husband. Doris is priggish and judgmental but underneath the self-righteousness there is a heart that yearns to be softened.
A true gentleman, Sam is a catch. Handsome, secure, and mild mannered, it's love at first sight when he meets Ida, but even with his heart warming rapidly he knows he must tread cautiously.
A gentle friend to all, Mildred finds herself in a dislikable situation. Under different circumstances she and Ida might be sisters but there is a major conflict of interest when Sam brings her to the wedding.
