Abut the project: Synopsis: A dramatization of the famed "Scopes Monkey Trial" from the early 1900's. After a man teaches evolution in his classroom, violating a Tennessee law requiring the teaching of creationism, the trial becomes a national circus. As national reporters, big-city lawyers, and politicians with national ambitions descend on a town that's already largely made up it's mind, the literal and metaphorical temperature of the courtroom ratchets to a dangerous fever.
