Actors Sought For Production Of "Hillary and Clinton"
"Hillary and Clinton" show seeking actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see more info below. About the project: Sparks fly in this fast, fun, fictional “what if?” in an alternate universe where someone named Hillary is determined to become president, damn it. Who could possible stand in her way? The political quickly becomes personal. This play offers snappy, jaw-dropping personal boxing matches between four whip-smart characters. The stakes are high and emotions run rampant, causing many entertaining jabs below the belt. Think 2008, the New Hampshire primary, in Hillary’s hotel room. Imagine an audience full of marriage counselors, shrieking and shaking their heads. Additional info: Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Important note to auditioning actors from playwright: "You don't have to look/sound like these historical figures. This isn't a SNL sketch. It might be tempting to play these characters as imitations (impersonations) of the real deal. Don't do it! Do Not play for easy recognition. Don't imitate." Performances will be April 12-28, 2024. If you are interested, please apply.

A woman running for president. Between Bill, Mark, Society, and Barack, she has her hands full. Fighting tooth and nail feels absurd and exhausting...but smart, outspoken Hill has a goal, damn it. She deserves to be president! Right?
Hillary’s super sharp campaign manager and political strategist. Whatever Hillary is paying Mark, it’s not enough. In one hour, how many ledges does he talk her off of? How much bad news does he turn into her positive, brilliant strategies? Mark knows, understands Hill and Bill.
Once president of the United States, married to Hillary. Since Hillary left Bill to run her campaign without his interference, he’s gone downhill. He’s desperate to be needed, to get back in the game. Her game. The clever, charming meddling master of manipulation returns.
A brilliant man also running for president. We all know who Barack is, and what he has accomplished. But in this play, Hill and Bill underestimate him. Barack, cool and calm, arrives later in the story and masterminds the final, shocking show-down.
