Casting Performers For 2024 Season Shows
Theatre is seeking performers for their 2024 season. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the breakdown below. Rate: AEA Contract: LOA reference LORT D - No less than $575/wk (2023 rate) + health & pension - Housing and transportation provided. Non-AEA: $575/wk - Housing provided. Actors in the Young Audience Outreach Tour: $550/wk for rehearsals and tour - $250 travel stipend - Housing provided. Additional info: Theatre casts both AEA and non-AEA actors and will see both at the Denver EPA. Priority will be given to Actors Equity Association members. Theatre operates on an LOA referencing LORT D. Directors will also accept video submissions: see the document attached. What to Prepare: For both in-person and video auditions, please prepare 2 contrasting monologues not to exceed 3 minutes. 16 bars of a song if you sing. A Note from Theatre: In reference to the character descriptions below: most characters directors currently encounter are on the binary and are written with he/him or she/hers pronouns. However limiting the descriptions are, the casting seeks to be as inclusive as possible and they invite gender non-conforming, genderqueer, transgender, and non-binary actors to apply for the roles they most identify with. Directors also list race/ethnicity when specific to the character but are otherwise seeking actors of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Please note that actors will be cast in two or three productions as is the nature of repertory theater. Don’t hesitate to let them know if you have any questions, concerns, or if you are an actor who might need specific accommodations they can provide.
