Auditions for "Kinky Boots" show. Looking for cast. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Additional info: Auditions are first come, first seen. No appointment needed. Actors of any ethnicity, ability or gender are encouraged to audition. Please prepare 16 bars of any song of your choosing, preferably an upbeat pop song or show tune. Please bring your sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. Resumes are encouraged, but not required. Auditions will involve singing, dancing and cold reads from the script. Please bring clothes to move in. ANYONE AUDITIONING FOR AN ANGEL ROLE, PLEASE BRING HEELS TO DANCE IN. THESE ARE DRAG PERFORMERS. FIRST REHEARSAL: February 20, 2024. REHEARSALS WILL BE: Sundays 4-9 pm; Tues/Thurs 7-9:30 pm. Has the body of a boxer, with the soul of a Diva. A scene-stealing drag performer. Has a killer voice with power blues and gospel chops. Lola dances in very high heels and so has to move well. An incredible performer comfortable wearing everything from full glamour drag to nothing but boxing trunks. Emotionally and physically challenging role.
