"Murder on the Menu" Student Thesis Film Needs Actors

Cyntia is a straight-A student with a bright future ahead of her and a present she's desperate to leave behind. She knows her parents love her but feels like they don't respect her time, forcing her to work at the family restaurant. She's normally quietly observant but when push comes to shove she takes action.

A portly family man and restauranteur whose natural exuberance makes each of his customers feel like they're the most important person in the world. He loves his wife Ursula and daughter Cyntia deeply but is not often attuned to their personal needs, assuming that if he's happy they're happy. He can be quick to emotional extremes.

After getting swept up in her husband Gustavo's charm for years, Ursula woke up one day to realize that her big dreams in life never included the monotony of being a bookkeeper at his Italian Restaurant. Her opportunities to start anew are dwindling, so she's doing whatever it takes to be happy with the time she has left, no matter who that hurts

(Supporting) After working at Gustavo's restaurant for five years, Ron feels he's due more respect. He's a hard worker for his whole shift and not a minute longer.

(Supporting) Maya fancies herself a peacemaker amongst the volatile personalities at Gustavo's restaurant. She has a soft spot for Cyntia who she views as a younger sister. She's happy to open up about anything other than her past.

(Supporting) The gruff cook at Gustavo's restaurant. He likes being with Maya and can just about stomach everyone else.

(Supporting.) An over-the-hill, small-town cop who thinks of himself as a romantic but can't escape what he views as his own strong sense of morality.
