About the project: "Young Americans Zack and Abby have the perfect ex-pat life in Paris: a funky bohemian apartment in up-and-coming Belleville; a stable marriage; and Zack’s noble mission to fight pediatric AIDS. But when Abby finds Zack at home one afternoon when he’s supposed to be at work, the questions and answers that follow shake the foundation of their seemingly beautiful life." (American): Bright, vulnerable, and maybe a little neurotic. Big-hearted but occasionally jagged. Still recovering from the death of her mother, and still figuring out how to find purpose for her many gifts.
(American): A bright and apparently eminently capable guy and husband with a dark side and low-level marijuana dependency. He is deeply loving and occasionally verges on controlling.
(Mid-20s, French-Senegalese): A landlord. A really nice and understanding guy who does not appreciate being taken advantage of. A family man and hard worker, upstanding, and friendly but boundaried.
(Mid-20s, French- Senegalese): Fierce and fiercely loyal mama bear. Tells it like it is when no one else will. A commanding, almost haughty presence.
