The "Pride and Prejudice" Play Looking for Actors
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Auditions for "Pride and Prejudice" Virtual Play. Please see the details below. About the project: Jane Austen’s classic novel is brought to fresh, bold new life in Kate Hamill’s hilarious stage adaptation of "Pride and Prejudice." Lizzy Bennet is determined to avoid the trappings of a loveless marriage while mocking the foolish antics of others. When she meets the solemn Mr. Darcy, she immediately judges him to be all that she detests: proud, arrogant, rude and so without civility that she can hardly endure his presence. Lizzy comes to discover, however, that first impressions may not be all that they seem. Hamill’s "Pride and Prejudice" is a delightful, zany, energetic take on the classic tale full of laughter, madcap characters, and heartfelt fun. Additional info: Call Backs to be held December 6th, if necessary. Performances are February 2nd – 11th, 2024. No preparation is necessary; auditions will consist of reading sides from the script provided that night. Apply, if interested.
