ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Searching for performers for the production of "The Swearing Jar". More details are below. About the project: Play Synopsis: A young married couple decides to kick their hilariously bad swearing habit before their baby is born but that’s not their only obstacle. This heartwarming story looks at life – its challenges, secrets, and absurdities – with honesty, humor, and a little bit of music. Additional information: Performance Dates: April 17 – 27, 2024. Callbacks on December 17, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Rehearsals begin the week of January 15 but several read-throughs will be scheduled over the holidays. You will be auditioning in small groups in 45-minute timeslots in which you will be asked to read sides from the play (you will receive sides at least a week before your audition). Please come to the audition, ready to talk about yourself in relation to the character you wish to audition for. Actors auditioning for Carey should also prepare a short, unaccompanied song. Actors auditioning for Owen should also prepare a short song with or without guitar accompaniment. (It would be wonderful if Owen could play guitar, but if the actor who gets the role does not, we do have a Plan B). If you're interested, pleae apply.
