"The Hunter's Moon" - Thesis Film
Adventurous sci-fi thriller adaptation of "The Most Dangerous Game" with mid-century style and futuristic technology. A renowned detective is hired by millionaire Richard Darlington to check up on his son, who has failed to call home after voyaging to his personal moon in orbit of Jupiter. Finding Darlington Junior alive and well, the boy professes his admiration for the detective, excitedly proposing he join in his latest antidote to boredom: hunting humans across the frozen moon below. Forced to participate as the next day’s prey, the detective has one chance for survival: outsmart Junior, and acquire the teleportation device that conveys him to and from his ship. A senior thesis film for Colorado College. Our main creative team has ~10 years of production experience apiece, and our Director's work has previously been screened at SXSW. Shoots Nov. to Feb. in and around Colorado Springs. Shooting schedule and budget are not yet confirmed, we are willing to negotiate compensation.

Lead, Protagonist. Hardboiled detective, renowned for his highly publicized and explosive exploits. His persona is not unlike that of Cary Grant, or Sean Connery's James Bond. Despite his excellent track record and quick wit, factors outside of his control trap him into a deadly game in which all odds are stacked against him.
Lead, Antagonist. Junior is young, charming, and Ivy League educated, though not due to intelligence or merit. Due to the enormous fortune of his inattentive father, he is free from responsibilities and commands nearly limitless resources. Growing bored of more conventional pursuits, he has recently found delight in hunting stranded humans on his private moon. He admires Detective Dashiell, seeing himself as a similar gentleman of action. Demands to be taken seriously.
Day Player. Stranded spaceman who becomes the victim of a human hunter in the film's first scene. Exhausted individual scrambles up a hill in an escape attempt, and is shot offscreen with a rifle. May be asked to play a dead body.
