About the project: SYNOPSIS: Based on the Henry James novel, (Washington Square), The Heiress is set in 1850 New York City and follows the story of Catherine, a plain but exceedingly wealthy young woman who lives with her father, Dr. Austin Sloper. When she falls in love with Morris Townsend, a charming but penniless suitor, Dr. Sloper is immediately suspicious the man is after Catherine's inheritance. What follows is a gothic romance filled with mystery and drama. Rate: Non-paid. Additional info: Non union. Please bring a photo and resume or bio, and a list of all your conflicts from February through April. Script sides will be provided. Callbacks (if needed) - Wednesday, December 6, 7:00pm-9:00pm REHEARSALS: Start first week in February. Three (3) nights per week and one (1) weekend day, either a Saturday or Sunday. Not all cast will be called for every rehearsal however principals should expect more rehearsals. Exact dates to be determined.
