Seeking Cast for Neil Simon's Play "Rumors"
The company announces auditions for Neil "Simon's Rumors" and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Additional info: Production Dates: Feb. 9-11* & 15-18* *The 11th and 18th showings are matinees. Rehearsals: Directors will be aiming to rehearse three times a week; Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00. The first week of rehearsals will start Sunday, November 12th and involve table reads and character exploration. Actors will receive copies of the script at the first rehearsal. An attractive woman. She and her husband Ken are lawyers, and she is not cool under stressful situations such as the one she finds herself in tonight.
An attractive woman. She is astute, enjoys good gossip and has a very sarcastic/snarky sense of humor.
A woman who has a very unique sense of fashion. Cookie is a cook and also kooky, dramatic and spacey (very physical role).
A sexy, toxic woman. She is the wife of local politician Glenn but she likes to flirt with other men to make him jealous because she feels that he neglects her.
Police officer. Welch’s partner.
Is a lawyer and calls himself Charley’s best friend. He is intelligent but not a very good liar.
An accountant and also calls himself Charley’s best friend. He is quick tempered and has little patience for stupidity.
A therapist. He is Cookie’s loving husband. Ernie is well mannered, proper, and very naive.
A handsome man. He is a politician with an air of arrogance and a wandering eye. Glenn cares a lot about his image.
A strong, vigorous policeman. He and his partner Pudney get called to the home of Charley and Myra.
