Live Musical Radio Play "Miracle on 34th Street" Seeking Talent

About the project: When a department store Santa claims he’s the real Kris Kringle, his case gets taken all the way to the Supreme Court, and a little girl’s belief makes the difference in the ‘miracle.’ With live Foley effects and a score of holiday carols, Miracle on 34th Street is a beloved musical that will melt even the most cynical of hearts. Additional info: Callbacks: Callbacks for Holiday Inn will be held on Saturday, October 7th from 10 am to 1 pm, Callback notifications will be sent out by October 6th, 2023 at 5 pm. Audition Preparation: Please prepare a song (approx. 32 bars of music or less) in the style of the show. The Show consists of radio-style jingles and jazzy, sometimes non-traditional versions of Christmas songs and carols. An accompanist will be provided so please bring sheet music for the accompanist to play. Performing with an accompanist is strongly preferred, but you may provide tracks if you do not have sheet music. Please note: Amplification will not be provided and playing backing tracks off of a cell phone (without proper additional amplification) is not a viable option. Rehearsals/Performances: Rehearsal for Miracle on 34th Street will begin in mid-October. The schedule will be based on both performer and production staff availability, so please submit all known conflicts at the time of auditions. The Theatre traditionally rehearses 2-3 times a week. Tech week for Miracle on 34th Street will be held Sunday, November 19th through Tuesday, November 21st, and Monday, November 27th through Thursday, November 30th, no conflicts will be accepted for these tech dates. Please note: The College will be closed from Wednesday, November 22nd to Sunday, November 26th. Performances for Miracle on 34th Street will begin on Friday, December 1st with performances on December 2nd, 3rd, 8th, 9th & 10th. Friday and Saturday night performances take place at 8 pm and Sunday matinees take place at 2 pm. There is the possibility of a school matinee on Friday, December 8th at 10 a.m. The cast and crew will be notified on November 17th if the performance will not be held. There is also a possibility of an added matinee on Saturday, December 2nd, or Saturday, December 9th at 2 p.m. Cast and crew will be notified on November 17th if the performance will not be held.
