About the project: Enemy of Death is a short film about a young woman who moves into her late grandmother's house in a small, southern town and begins to learn of a new religious group that has set up residence in the town and the mysterious "darkness" they are set on warning everyone against. A young woman who's quiet and severe. She begins to suspect that the death of her grandmother might have something to do with the new religious movement that is taking over her grandmother's small town. She feels a kinship with town local, Everett.
A young man who lives in the town and captures Ruth's attention. He is a member of the new church in town and devoutly follows the teachings of his pastor, however he begins to have doubts when he explores the tension between himself and Ruth.
A young woman who is a devout follower of the new church. She is sweet and kind and very welcoming to Ruth. (Women of color preferred for this role)
