Currently casting for a short film titled "Silent Melody". Looking for actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the roles below. About the project: Synopsis: The story begins with Leah, an up-and-coming violinist who has recently lost her hearing. She is struggling to adapt to life without it when her coach, Damian, enters the room. He insults and belittles Leah before abandoning her right before her audition to an international orchestra. Leah flies into a rage and starts tearing up her music, then tries to play again using her cochlear implants. The song is horribly distorted, but she keeps going. The time has come for Leah’s audition. She prepares to go on stage and gives Damian one last fuck you. During her audition Leah struggles to get the song right, she starts and stops before lowering her bow in defeat. As the judges grow impatient, Leah tears off her hearing aids and throws them aside. She begins to play again in silence. We hear what Leah hears: nothing. The final performance is done without sound. Once she finishes, Leah turns and walks towards backstage. Damian sighs and walks away. The judges stand and cheer. Rate: $100 per day. Additional info: Production details: Filming dates: November 4th and 5th. Filming duration: 12 hours a day.
