Actor must be able to speak Hindi and some English. Neela’s father experienced extreme racism and discrimination moving to Canada in the early 1970’s. He was beaten by his father since he was a young boy. He watched his father beat his mother. woman.
Indian Mother: Rita Neela’s mother Indian woman who has immigrated to Canada. Actor must be able to speak Hindi. Neela’s mother is working late shifts at a minimum wage job supporting her family. She is a victim of domestic violence and beaten by her husband. She is a loving mother, protective of her daughter and at all costs will protect the family name. Please note this character will be required to play intense scenes as a victim of domestic violence.
